Thank you for your interest in our business, we have been a family owned and operated establishment since 1986.  We offer quality goods at affordable prices and focus on selling as many local products as possible along with providing excellent customer service.

We sell a full line of produce, huge selection of plants, farm fresh dairy and eggs, bulk dry goods including dried fruit, trail mixes and candy, Mackinaw City fudge and salt-water taffy, wild bird feed and feeders, straw, pumpkins, christmas trees and more.

Our 12th Year in Business...

This year, 2019, marks the start of our 12th year operating this store and we look forward to seeing all of our customers that have shopped with us for the duration of our tenure at the market, along with those who have begun shopping during these last twelve years and those who are just finding out about us today.  We are more committed than ever to providing a good experience for our shoppers with old fashioned customer service and convenience.  We would also like to thank everyone for the overwhelmingly positive feedback we receive on google in the form of highly favorable reviews; we understand that in today's internet based society it is important for creating and keeping any business robust.  Once again, thank you for your interest in our store as we look forward to another season.

Store History...

This location has been established since 1986.  It was started by my grandmother, Beatrice L. Coleman, who worked every hour that she could during the season in order to make the business a success.  She was an extremely hard worker, as anyone who shopped in the store during those first few years, or anyone who knew her as a mother and farmer would tell you.  I personally worked for her at this location when I was in high school, and was constantly amazed at her energy.  When she passed away in 1994, her daughter took ownership of the store.  For the next 15 years, my aunt and uncle ran the store, keeping the tradition of selling local produce and quality plants going.

30th Anniversary Year...

2016 marks the 30th year that our store has been in business serving the Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor area.  We are proud to continue this establishment with the old fashioned customer service and care that was started by Beatrice Coleman in 1986.  We feel that our experience with people and the direct contact we, as owners, have with all of our regular customers is the reason we have been able to successfully continue the tradition of bringing local produce and Michigan made products to you for so long.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!





Under New Ownership...

As of 2008, the store is under the management of myself, Adam Coleman, and my wife, Ruth.  We've both worked in retail for many years and have a very good understanding of customer service and how it relates to success in the business world.  The creation of this site is one way that we would like to provide better customer service-- showcasing our products and giving our current customers more insight as to who we are and our new customers the means of finding us and coming in to enjoy the products that we offer.

Michigan Specialty Store... 

Part of our goal is to establish a product line that brings in more customers.  We want you to come in because we have the best local produce available in season, but we want you to find other things that are made or grown in Michigan as well.  For this reason, we are focusing on selling as many products as possible that are Michigan produced.  Maple syrup, honey and cut flowers are just a few of the products we sell from Michigan farms that are not necessarily produce items.  You might be surprised at how much of what we sell is grown or made right here in our state.

Five Years and Counting...

It's been an eventful changeover at our store, but we feel that after five years as owners at the market, we have finally restored customer confidence in our quality and service.  We have worked very hard to encourage word of mouth advertising and to keep our regulars coming back each year by providing the service and products that are expected of us.  Thank you for your continued support as we look ahead to the next five years.

 OPEN SEASONALLY

Our business thrives during the spring and summer months when local products are abundant.  For this reason, we close our doors between Late December and Late April when there is no local produce available.

PRODUCE 

Open Late April through Halloween

We sell a full line of produce throughout the season, Michigan grown as much as possible!

CHRISTMAS TREES 

Open from the day after Thanksgiving until just before Christmas

We offer 11 varieties of fresh cut trees, real evergreen wreaths and garland.  Sorry, we do not offer produce at this time.

PLANTS 

 Garden Department open from Late April until July 1st

A few perennials and hanging baskets may still be available until Late July and look for Hardy Mums after Labor Day!

PUMPKINS 

Fall Decor available from Mid September until Halloween

Including pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks, straw and hardy mums.

 CANNING JARS

Jars and Supplies are available throughout the season

We have jars, pickling salt and mixes, pectin and more.

WILD BIRD FEED

Bulk feed as well as smaller bags May through October

We carry mixed feed, sunflower seed, suet, safflower, cracked & shelled corn and more.  We also sell a nice selection of bird feeders!

Return Policy For all Customers 

We are always happy to refund or replace food products with noticeable flaw or lack of quality, within a reasonable timeframe.  Just call and tell us the problem as soon as it is discovered.  However, we will not refund plant purchases, for any reason, after the day the purchase was made.  Please understand that we have no control over what conditions the plant is faced with after leaving our store and cannot assume responsibility for them beyond this point.  We always offer a receipt with your purchase, therefore, a receipt should be presented at any time of return.  Thank you for your understanding.
